OTHER OPPORTUNITIES
Greenway has an excellent music tradition. Children receive subsidised tuition from peripatetic teachers on a number of instruments. The playing of recorders, guitars and electronic keyboards are taught by members of staff. The school boasts a large orchestra and choir. During the school year there are many concerts and other functions at which the children perform for parents, peers, friends and the local community.
A wide range of educational visits enriches the curriculum. Some of these are single day visits while others are residential. These are an exciting part of the school year and are looked forward to with eager anticipation.
The boys and girls are able to demonstrate their enjoyment, skills and knowledge at concerts, fetes and exhibitions in the local community. There are numerous other clubs and activities including drama, cross-country and table tennis.
Greenway is fortunate to have committed teachers, parents and friends who spend evenings and weekends providing these enriching experiences for the children.
The school's own activities have been further enriched and extended through a partnership with Horsham Leisure Link and Horsham Table Tennis club. These groups have greatly increased opportunities for sports development in the school and the local community.
French, which is taught throughout the school, culminates in a Year 6 visit to a Sailing Centre in Northern France.
