French Trip 2005

France 2005 Home

Wednesday June 22nd

After another great breakfast we set off for the local hypermarche at around 10:00am. Once there the children divided into small groups and explored. (Some parents may receive a present if it has not been eaten!) We then went back to the centre for a hearty lunch.

In the afternoon each coach party went sailing for two hours. The children were in pairs in small 'Optimist' boats (the other 'Pessimist' boats had holes in.) In groups of ten or twelve each group had a safety boat which acted as a 'Mother Duck' with ducklings. The small number of children that did not go experienced some of the French culture in the town. When not sailing the children played on the beach or the grass outside the centre.

After a well earned dinner we walked up through town to a park where a variety of activities were offered; cricket, football, rounders and frisbee.

All kitted up and receiving instructions.
The boats being led to start off the sailing.
 The happy sailors return.
Relaxing with some gentle sport in the evening at a local park.
Working hard to fill in those diaries.
